After owning a "tank" Electrolux for almost 20 years, I chose this vacuum to replace it, after reading reviews. I have a yellow lab who sheds awful and this will do the job. My only complaint is that a couple of weeks ago the piece that "hooks" into the piece for the carpet would not make a connection..it is still in the repair shop.
