Compact, bagless, seems to create great suction. Just one problem: the carpet attachment included with this model is narrow and pathetic. I've used my share of vacuums over the years, but I've never seen anything like this. I measure it at 9" across, which means you have to make a lot more passes to cover your floor than other vacuums you've probably used. It's also very lightweight, and rests fairly high on a wheel where it joins the wand, so that it tends to skitter across the carpet rather than aggravating it. This is on normal, tufted wall-to-wall carpet. You can get it to work if you apply downward pressure on the handle while vacuuming. Takes forever. I checked the dyson website, and no other motorhead seems to be available. In short, if you have hardwood, buy the "turbine" (air-powered) version of this. If you have carpet, avoid it like the plague.Get more detail about Dyson DC22 Motorhead.
