My New Dyson DC23 Canister Vac is a 1st time adventure with a canister for me except from 40 years ago. I researched canister Vacs prior to my purchase & although I did not find much input from rating sites on this model, I was able to gather some data that convinced me that the Dyson would be a good choice for me. I have had it just a few weeks but feel that I made a good choice. It is easy to use, has a lot of suction, tools connect & disconnect easily. The dirt cup & filter are so easy to empty & clean. I own numerous Vacs including 2 Dyson uprights, an Oreck & a Kirby. Each of them performs floor cleaning well but I dislike the hand tool fiasco with them.
